El Fin took 18 months to build and one auction campaign to make history. Sold for $13.5 million in December 2025, it set the residential record for the Gold Coast hinterland, in a suburb where the median house sits at $1.69 million.
Designed and built by MJW Building Worx as the family's own home, it is the largest residential home ever designed by Emil Kucevic of EMK Architecture. Three stone-clad levels across an 8,506 square metre double block: infinity pool, cocktail bar, cinema, gaming arcade, and a rooftop golf green looking over the hinterland.
The campaign went viral before it launched. 450,000 views before day one, past 750,000 within 24 hours of going live.
"We built this as the home our boys would grow up in. The pool, the cinema, the games room, the rooftop, the space to run. It was everything we dreamed of."Mitchell Micallef · MJW Building Worx · via news.com.au
"We fell in love with the process of creating it. We want to build again. That's the only reason we're selling."Mitchell Micallef · via news.com.au
